Would this be a way to get listed?

I didn't install a warning page on the root because initially I wasn't quite sure what the site was gonna be, but after working on it, I think I might have a shot on gettin it listed on LL's.

Now, the site has a PR6 on its index page, which I would like to maintain. Also, hundreds of sub-pages link to the index.html.

Would it be an option to have LL's link to a seperate warning.html (including recips) and then put up a link back on the left side under the navigation across all pages? It's easy for me to change across all pages because I am SSI'ing a txt file.

Let me know if it's worth the effort.

It all depends what the site is going to be. If it is following all the other rules and you have several recips on the warning page then maybe. But if it's a hub, then you should be linking to the LLs somewhere that is accessible from the hub. Have to see an example of what you are talking about.

I'd need to see an example too - it sounds like you'd be linking to the warning page from your main (index) page, which is backwards

Would that be permissible?

I'd also send traffic back from the main index with hardlinks.

I'm not real positive, I'm sure someone else here could verify this, but couldn't you also alter the .htaccess so that when someone types in http://www.yourdomain.com/ it opens http://www.yourdomain.com/warning.html ?

Then for the link lists that only list the root of the directory you could just submit http://www.yourdomain.com/ (minus the index.html). And keep the links the way they are now - from warning.html to index.html. OR would that be considered cheating somehow?

sorry to interrupt, I'm trying to figure out why htaccess hates me and was browsing through here looking for answers. I just came across that solution recently and thought I'd mention it.
