About 10PM last night, the Apple logo flashed on my iPhone for 3 seconds, then it went black. It's been repeating this ever since Found some solutions that didn't work, so I plugged in into my PC, but nothing. I fired up iTunes & it asked for my password, which I of course forgot One way to reset it is that they send a code to my phone The other is called something like Reclaim Your Account, so I jump thru those hoops & they tell me it could take 3 days Then, I remember my password Logged into iTunes, but still no phone Go to apple.com to set up an appt at the local store & in order to do so, you need to login. Well, even though it worked in iTunes, since I started this recovery process, my account is locked or something so I can't login to schedule an appt to FIX MY FUCKING PHONE

My friend on Facebook thinks he figured out how they knew - any ideas?

Greenie, are you part of any points program at Rite Aid? Maybe they sell Amazon your buying info based on the email address you gave Rite Aid as part of the points program?

BINGO! Just sent this to Rite Aid about their Plenti program:

Yesterday I was at Rite Aid & bought some Planters Whole Cashews because they were on sale for $8.99 (reg $16.49). The transaction occurred at 2:38PM

At 2:51PM I recv'd an email from Amazon that said: "Here are personalized recommendations for you based on items you purchased or reviewed..." and the 1st item on the list was Planters Deluxe Whole Cashews for $9.99 (everyday price). A friend pointed out to me that it was probably Plenti sharing my info with Amazon. I just opted out of Plenti sharing my data with anyone. This is not your or Plenti's fault. It's mine for not checking the privacy options when I signed up.

But my point is this: You give a customer's info to Plenti & they then share it with their partners. In my case, who do you think I'm going to buy cashews from the next time I need some? Amazon's everyday price is $6.50 less than Rite Aid's. I have a Prime account, so it's free 2 day shipping. I'd be a moron to buy them from Rite Aid.

So thanks for letting me know I should shop at Amazon & not Rite Aid!

From what I'm reading, it's a hardware problem. I know my Apple warranty has past, but I think we have something thru Verizon. My other concern is that dummy hasn't backed up his phone in a LOOOOOOOOONG time

I'm an Android guy but my wife's phone is Apple. I know there is a backup function on it. You set it and forget it. I needed it to transfer her phone from one company to another. Here's hoping you had it turned on.

Hello Board

I had very hard work week that is almost done. Next week should be better. Maybe I will do some coding tonight if I don't fall asleep at the couch.

Android user here so no problems with the phone
But I can relate to iPhone users partially as my Lovely one uses iPhone as well at my Izabela. There is always something with either her phone or Apple ID or password and to get things fixed it's always painful.

Honestly, The Bitch & I started with Apple in 2008 with the iPhone 3, then we got the 5, and now we have the 7. This is the 1st time in 10 years that there was a problem with one of our phones that wasn't caused by me drunkenly falling while getting into a van while visiting Ramster & our friends in Ottawa

Izabela is always complaining how her " F*up phone is acting up again" but then again maybe it's her thing Now she has the #7, but before that it was #6+, #6 and #5. So far #5 is her still favorite #1

The past two days have been a blurry mess dealing with the doctors and preparation for my wife's surgery tomorrow.
