Thursday - April 16th - Weirder and weirder

I think I need to get more vigilant in my attempts to stay away from social media. I really need to start practicing good distancing from ALL media. The news from the US is so scary. I thought Russia was bad with Putin changing the constitution so he can stay in power long past the end of his presidency. But this latest from King Cheeto has me very scared for the family and friends I do have in the states. He wants to make non-vital appointments and Congress is on a planned recess so he will invoke powers and just adjourn Congress and do it all himself. I know these are unusual times, but that is grabbing just way too much power. What happened to the Constitution this man swore to uphold? (HE will decide when to reopen the economy. What happened to States' Rights?)

Enough ranting. I decided the best thing is to set up a schedule of things to be accomplished daily and to try to hold to it. That means I need to put my fingers to work and let the brain concentrate on something nice and clean - like porn.

I know what you mean Pagan. The US federal government is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. You want to look away but you can't.

Yesterday, I was a bit depressed. I'm not usually that way but a bad sleep and everything going on the world got the better of me. Today is a much better day. I'm meeting my brother for a socially distanced coffee - he in one parking space and me a couple away. Hopefully, a overly zealous bylaw officer won't give us a C$750 ticket. Other than that, it's a bit of shopping and working on the one mainstream website I have to do. Tonight, I have episode 1 of Lego Masters to watch and maybe a Superstore or Brooklyn 9-9 if I'm lucky.

The usual here, work work work. I did start working out again Monday with my home weights, haven't had a beer or wine since as I'm hoping to lose a bit of weight and build some strength. I do plan to treat myself to beer and/or wine on the weekend though

I agree with Pagan, what is going on in the States is just to crazy, I can't cope with it and for this I am avoiding it.

Good Morning

Yesterday was another shit show and today is following along.

We have to tent the house at least I can stay with my daughter who has been taking this virus serious enough for those couple of nights. Beats going to a hotel. The only problem is my garage is on the property line of a neighbor and I'm going to have to clear out a bunch of brush and trim back a tree. He has had medical issues the past 5 years and has not done a thing to keep things somewhat tidy and trimmed. I know what he's going thru so I don't mind.

Today I also got hit with an issue within my own network. Have already worked on it for 3 hours and hoping only 3 more will take care of it.
