Does CAMZ.com sell webmaster information?

CAMZ has been around a long time and from what I can tell they're a respected organization. I just got a spam email to an email address that I only used for CAMZ.

I signed up with them but never used them. One day I got like 5 emails from thier accounting department saying they'd bill my account for some service so I replied that I didn't want to recieve any more emails from them.

Now did they decide to sell my information?

Is anyone else getting spam from thier CAMZ email or is it just me?

I do know that they have their hands in a lot of sites/projects & I'm sure everyone remembers when we opened this place, we sent out the announcement to every list we had accumulated over the years.

This is spam and not an announcement. The domain registered in the spam has +1 55555555555 as the phone number and the email addressed to Dear Male.

Not every list we had. There were a few that we did not own that we would not touch.

We have certainly never sold or given away any info on anyone that has signed up for our service.

I would be very interested in getting a copy of the e-mail received.

thanks I was kind of hoping to get it via forward as an attachment so I can see what the details are with the mail.

That certainly is not one of our mailers and I will certainly be looking into if that e-mail address got in their hands.

You said in your note to you "did not think you used it anywhere else" I would think that in a post of this nature you would be sure. I can say with absolute certainty that we have not and would not ever sell or volunteer any of the info of anyone we do business.

I thank you for sending it to me. Also if you still have it please forward me a copy via as an attachment.

You have the information Dan and it should be obvious that I was just being polite in my message because I have a lot of respect for your organization. I explained the situation on this board and I asked 2 questions. There’s no need to get defensive, as I made no accusations.

There is no way I've used that email address any place other then in your system and I’m sure that you know that by looking at the address.

You have 5 attachments on the way. I did a quick check and it seems I’ve been receiving spam to that email address for quite some time.

You can reply to me directly instead of to the board but that's your choice.
