Hello All

Wondering if its a smart move to buy traffic for a hub? Dont know much about buying traffic other than choker traffic seems to be pretty popular? How does buying traffic work exactly?

The only way I would attempt to gain extra traffic would be to go for a banner exchange but place the banner code on an existing site but request that the traffic go to my new one. At least this way it is a little more targetted.

Buying traffic in my opinion is a waste of money, better off spending it on search engine placement or even advertising space.

I've bought traffic on a few occasions and I probably wouldnt do it again. I really just wanted to test the waters so to speak on one of my sites and I actually colllected a lot of emails but not quite enough to pay for all the traffic.

If some one is selling you traffic then it cant be that good or they would not sell in the first place - ;-) - thats my view on it.

Its not so hard to build traffic up and from nothing -

1) Buy Niche Domain
2) Make a index page
3) List on Niche Top Lists
4) Create Yahoo / News Group
5) Submit to Engines
6) Build Submit Free Sites (on going)

6 really easy steps to get traffic - yep it takes time though at the end of it you have a regular supply of targeted traffic.

Bottom line most important thing is being able to make your own traffic

News groups - they are just communities of surfers who share a comman interest. You cant use them for commercial purpose so you have make fan clubs an link off to your landing pages.

Don't get me wrong its not easy, and you get closed down a lot when you first start, as for members link to top lists etc
