I'm sick Some sort of cold that NyQuil brags that it can cure, but I can't take any of those popular cold medicines because they fuck with my mind too much & I can never sleep properly. So I'm chewing my herbal cold meds left & right.

The problem is that it knocks me out for 4 hours or so & then I toss & turn & have that horrible restless sleep for the rest of the night with really fucked up dreams, then I'm groggy all day.

DayQuil causes the same effect at night if I take it during the day

Fuck mornings…

Had planned on returning to the gym today but woke up with a scratchy throat, stuffed up nose, and feeling still a bit sick. This is the cold that doesn't really get you real sick but also just lasts and lasts. Yes cold meds are just evil. I took them all last week and they do make me even more crazy then I am normally. Been off them for a few days now. Now if only the last of the cold symptoms would go away.

Cable modem is still not fixed. Comcast said today but they have said that ever day for the last few days.

Tree people just came to my door to tell me that now they are planning on doing the work next weekend instead of last weekend. The untrimmed large tree in my backyard was a dead give away that it had not been done last weekend.

Guess it is just a day of work and a few errands for me today.

Time just feels wrong this morning. My brain knows it's 8:30 but all the damn clocks are telling me it's an hour later. I had the same feeling getting up at 4 am. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be able to start successfully tricking my mind again soon.

Since the "National Treasure" movie, a lot of people seem to know that Benjamin Frankin invented Daylight Saving Time. I don't think that many know he suggested it as a joke.

If Ben was around today, I'm sure he'd have some interesting comments to make about what we're doing with his notion.

This is crazy, but this is the first time of my life that I have had to do the time change thing. My entire life I had lived in the same place here in central Indiana which was like one of only a couple places in the entire world that didnt change times, in the winter we always were on eastern time and in the summer we always were on central time. This is the first year of my life that we changed times and now I guess we are going to be on eastern time all time time now. My dad said the last time they tried doing this he was in grade school and talked about how the last month of school it was still light out when he had to go to bed, haha. But my god it already stayed light out until 9 at night in June/July, its gonna be light out until damn near 10 at night this summer. It was cloudy and rainy here yesterday and was light out until a little after 8 and it was only April 2. Here's to long summer afternoons!

Benadryl is one of the few things that works ok for me without similar side effects

Morning, afternoon, night How can setting the clocks ahead mess me with so much?? Went to bed at 3:30 up at noon, the day is all most over and I've done nothing

My husband is not allowed to take Nyquil! He gets crazy in his sleep when he takes it. I thought I would be dead by morning the last time he took the way he was thrashing around in bed. It really messes with him big time.

Guess I'll go clean the house then get to work. Have a good one all
