Why would someone do a Google site: search on me?
Every once in awhile, I see a Google site:mydomain search in the referrer stats for one of my domains? What would motivate someone to do that with my domain?

Some people will do checks on a site before asking for link/traffic trades. I see that stuff in my logs on occasion as well.

I also see such searches in my logs ... it's because people want to see how many pages google has indexed for your domain.

Pretty hard to say Useless Warrior ... you would need more sophisticated stats program than AwStats ( this is what my hoster offers and I cannot figure out which IP address would do a specific search query for my site ).

Places like Google have that link that says more pages like this.
It then runs a search with the site:mydomain.com stuff. |
