Google- index not indexed ?
Hi Guys,
I have some problem that is worrying me... problem with googlebot. problem is that the index of my site (big-busts.com) is not indexed properly on google search results, there is no description and it can not be found in search results for example when I try to find some unique text string from it (but it is included because when I search for url google is showing me my site url as a result) so... |confused| can You tell me something about it ? I don't have such problems with other search engines and other parts of my site are well indexed) Can somebody help me ?

Yeah. Firstly you dont say how long ago you submitted it and google seems a bit behind on indexing new sites at the moment.
Sometimes google does not like punctuation in descriptions I had this problem on a site. In addition from a page I had where the description suddenly got dropped I think google since its update scans the sentence to see if its grammatical. Strip out the ! and - and rewrite it as a proper sentence... also decide what keywords you are going for as they seem haphazard. Your main keyword with a url like that should be "big busts" so this should be the first words in your title, keywords tag, description tag and the alt tag of your first two images. Now google normally would pick up body text to replace your description tag but in the case of your page the only body text also contains lots of punctuation including a smiley and some miss spelling. So maybe thats why that didnt get picked up. Just my own theory based on my experiences. "

1. Google is not slow at indexing sites
2. It's not punctuation 3. Your keywords should not be in first position EVERYwhere.. (unless your a SE spammer) 4. Nobody KNOWS which bit of text Google will pick up. and that will depend on the keywords searched for. The real reason.. Your page is known to google... - http://www.google.com/search?q=site:...e=off&filter=0 but.. because.. You lack incoming links to the root index page You lack content(text) of any sort on that page The majority of links on the site are sponsor links .. google is not showing it much love.. (at the moment) For a domain registered in october... with most of the "content", in templates, in sub-dirs, and not linked to the root. I think you are doing well to have as much indexed as you have. DD

I've got a few sites that the index page doesnt show up well in search results beacuase theyre not my main landing pages, just legal disclaimers. Once they mature, some are less than a month old, and I add hardlinks to the index.html page the SE's should index it better.
I cant see an index page getting spidered much if its not your main landing page. Usually its the index that links to the rest of your site, not your sub directories linking to your index. No path to your index no spider of your index I would think. Matt - I'm with you on the punctuation, I'm all about that theory, despite what the experts like Danger Dave repeatedly tell us ![]() Last edited by Doug E; 2005-12-28 at 02:36 AM.. |

Afraid I am gonna have to take some issue with some of this.
Quote:
wanna know what I mean by big its http://free-ads.kwikfire.com with a couple of hundred pages. Within 48 hours MSN had fully indexed the top 100 or so pages. Google as of yesterday had just about managed to crawl the index page. The last time I added a brand spanking new domain it took even longer. Quote:
who put "samanthas hot pussy spoke to jeds cock who said that she should wash the hot pussy and take it for a ride to the cunt shop....." at the bottom of their pages as 'spoof content'. Now google seems to look at grammar and spelling judging by the re-rankings on some of mine and Olu's pages. I had a high ranking page which like the page under discussion here had an exclamation mark effectively in the middle of the description, the description vanished with the rank. After consulting a Guru I was told to remove the exclamation mark. Bang back where I was after a week or so. A smiley in the middle of a text passage and mis-spelling would not do any good. Quote:
when it comes to ranking but not analysis). Quote:
The description if it does not repeat keywords more than once, is grammatical (ie no absurd punctuation) and is not obviously a sales or marketing statement. Failing that the first paragraph of body text which obeys the same rules as above but excluding any text in headings. If there are no paragraphs it can parse then you get.... nothing! Quote:

"Welcome ![]() If this was grammatical, did not contain any weird punctuation and was not obviously a sales pitch google would have picked it up as a description. Mind you I think the reference to being still under construction might get picked up as well. I dont KNOW this but suspect it ... if I have a site under construction I put the text telling the public in a gif image and call it something innocuous like "description.gif" so the SE's do not spot it. If its a big site and generally working then I dont bother!

Oh, I forgot to tell something... This site was indexed properly couple weeks ago on Google... When I was starting to do it. I noticed this bad thing happened about one week ago and I didn't make any bigger changes to it. Huh... I hope this will change with time...

Please read and take notice of and implement, the advice given in this thread by MattInBlack...
... because if you do that.... I will be making money... while you are off looking for exclamation marks! DD

![]() Make them small font at the very bottom of the page if you like, but the bots can spot hidden links. |
