Google down Most of the Day?

When I got up at 4am to do my AM routine, I was able to log into gmail but I couldn't do searches on Google. I checked with some East Coast early risers and they were up but 'swinging' in and out. Gmail went out completely for me at around 5am and hasn't been back. No one I know in Vegas or in the Sounthern Cali/Orlando/ATL/NYC area has been able to access any google sites since like 9am PST.

I've checked all the news sources and see nothing about outages or anything. If it was just Vegas I'd say its our extra 500K people in town this weekend.

Anyone else had issues with Google today? or seen anything about this?

Or do I need to go "Hip" some data centers??

as of right now... all appears to be up and working from here Doc... no other issues

Some chick in West Texas (from the ebay blog forums) is having issues too. I came up for about 5 minutes. and now I'm down .. again.

Maybe I should blame Bush (who suddenly decided there is actually Global Warming)

sounds like a major router went down, that happens once in a while. the internet has several, infoave being one of them if I remember right
