Free Site movies sizes

I've seen a lot of links list ask for 12 movies of 10sec's - but I can't find out what size to do them?

I think I'd go for 320 x 240, but most of the sponsors give them out a 640x480 and I've seen this size on some sites...

Is there any effect on sales/geting listed byt the video size?

content is king, so bigger is always better. Most places only require a minute of video in each gallery without a cap on number of clips.
