It was a very dark day, just tragic.
![]() The repercussions from it are far from over. I feel very bad for my many non American friends who live in America. Our government has made things very difficult for them even through they are hard working honest folks and had nothing to do 9/11 and truly do love America. When I was a child I watched them build the towers and ate at the restaurant that was at the top after they were completed. I remember getting motion sickness in them before they added stabilizers to them. I feel a great loss seeing the NY skyline without them. I feel anger at those responsible, but I also understand how our government has caused resentment in some countries. All in all it is just a big tragic fucking mess. ![]() |

I'm not interested in the facts, I'm interested in my opinion.

We just past the exact time when the first plane hit.
A sad day that was. I was getting ready to go to a freelance job when my wife told me a plane hit. I was watching the news about it when the other hit. At the time, I lived 2 blocks from Sears Tower in Chicago. When the 3rd plane crashed, I thought Sears tower would get hit for sure. I packed up a change of clothes and got the hell out of the city. Stay in the suburbs for a few days. Ironicly my cousin who lives in NY was staying with me at the time. We could not get back home for about 2 weeks after that. Also, a good friend of mine was at his first day of work in tower 2 that day. He was safely evacuated from the building. But talkabout timing. 1st day of work and that happens. |

I live close enough to the Pentagon that not only did I hear the explosion but I felt it. I worked in an industry where I was often at the Pentagon and the World Trade Center and so were a lot of my close friends. It was about 10 days before I got in touch with everyone that I was concerned about.
I didn't lose anyone that I knew but I still feel a sadness and a pain on a very regular basis. |

Afro John says: "Touch The Extreme Afro & You'll Be In Extreme Pain!"

This day will never feel right for many, Im from NY, ive been to those towers more times than I can remember, I have tons of family and friends in NY. The day that happend I was in Aruba, my wife and I celebrating our 2 year wedding Anniversary (which happends to be Sept. 11th), we went to Hooters in Aruba the night before and nailed about 15 pitchers between us, we ended up falling asleep with the TV on, we woke up to the nightmare of the Twin Towers, and we saw the second plane hit. We ended up being stuck in Aruba for almost an extra 5 days (I know your thinking big deal), but when your newborn is in the US with the rest of your family and friends and you cant get to her, it sucks.
Our hearts go out. |

Nothing funnier than the ridiculous faces you people make mid-coitus

My office was on the 22nd floor of 2WTC for 5 years.. the man who rented me my very 1st office for my own company was Jimmy Gartenberg.. whose son's only memory will be of his dad's name being read off 1 time a year.. Sal Fumeifredo was a trader with me at Dean Witter..Chris Duffy used to spend hours in my office as we worked on his business plan for his 1st company...
I hate what was done to MY city.. I hate that people look questioningly at those around them when boarding a plane.. i hate that we have to walk around with 15 pieces of ID and our rights are being eroded away.. I hate that the only pictures i have to show of our "vacation" is some camels in the desert in front of the rows of military personnel carriers. Greg & Holly's Vacation Pictures But most of all i hate that i believe deep in my heart that 2300+ people were killed to advance a political agenda that is going to lead to further death and destruction. Out of this some good will come, maybe we will be a bit nicer to our fellow man, treat the earth with respect, find a common ground to those who are different from us. or maybe we should just all get naked, smoke a joint and say "fuck it".. |

Thank you Kristian and Urb. It's cool to see at least there are two foreign people our country hasn't managed to piss off yet.
