Question Building a TGP

Hi All

I know that you have probably been asked this question about a gazillion times, but I could use a little insight.

I am busy building a TGP site and would like some advice on what's the easiest/fastest way to generate some traffic to it. I realise that there is no quick solution and it takes alot of dedication, but a shove in the right direction would really be appreciated. I am also aware that I am not gonna get a massive influx of traffic overnight, I just need to build up a 'sustainable' level of traffic in the shortest time possible.

Any advice that you guys could give would be highly appreciated!

Thanks,
Ballistix

There is no "easy/quick" way anymore. Just put your recip on submits to medium size tgp's and get some good link trades going.

It takes time; since every new webmaster seems to want one until they find how much work it is turn a profit these days.

^^^ What Surfin said, best way I have found to get inital traffic to your TGP is buying it at the start, and putting your receip on everything you do.

TGPs are a lot of work, mine takes up a lot of my free time and I havent even gotten enough people submitting to me yet, I want more, then I may be happy lol

I am new here but I have been running a few TGP's and what Surfn says is true. Buy some traffic and sign up for some smaller trades. Contact the trades you want to sign up for and tell them you are buying some traffic, that way they won't kill the trade before you can turn on the juice.

Don't try to sign up with big sites right off the bat, work your way up.

You can shop around for traffic, I would suggest Choker his stuff is pretty decent.

BTW, what made you decide to get into the TGP thing? Everyone has a couple now and it seems that all new people jump right into it. If you haven't sealed the deal on it yet I would suggest submitting galleries and freesites for a while to learn how it all works. It is very hard starting out and they don't make the money they used to.

Anyway, hope that helps.

Hi all,

Thanks a bunch for the input, it's greatly appreciated!

Like I said, I realise that there is no quick or easy way, I was just looking for a push in the right direction from people in the know.

Unfortunately, I'm just not in a position to buy traffic at the mo, so I guess I'll just have to do it the old fashioned way LOL. I'll try and get my site listed on as many resources as possible, try and get a few trades going and submit to galleries with my recip.

As for why I'm looking to build a tgp... Well, I'm not that much of a noob as such, I 've been building galleries etc for a while now, so I think it's time to take the step and try my damndest. I realise that it takes alot of hard work, and it's not the money spinner it used to be. It is however, an alternate avenue and every little helps

Anyways, thanks again for the advice,

Hope I didn't sound condecending with the question Ballistix. I jumped into TGP's head first and really wish I hadn't, they are a real pain in the butt to run and seldom produce enough money to make them worth the time spent on them.

My question was more geared towards your purpose in running a TGP. I think a lot of people start them up thinking there is easy money to be had. When in reality there is more money to be had building free sites and submitting galleries with the time consumed in a TGP.

It is a good experience to help understand the TGP owners mind though Running a few sites made me see why some of my galleries were getting rejected all the time. I am thankful for the experience but kick myself now for all the time wasted that could have been better spent elsewhere.

I wish you all the luck in the world and will gladly help you out if I can just give me a
