Question Bookmark script for Firefox???

I've noticed that the normal little bookmark script that works so well for IE:

<a href="javascript:window.external.AddFavorite('http://www.youdapimp.com/', 'You Da Pimp All Free Porn')"><IMG SRC="images/bookmark.jpg" WIDTH=319 HEIGHT=30 border="0" alt="Bookmarks Us & Come Pimping Daily">

- but does nothing in Firefox.

Is there a script that works on both Firefox & IE? My research tells me no, but you never know if someone has a trick up their sleeve.

This is as close as you're gonna get...

a button for IE and the text Ctrl+D for Gecko browsers.

Feel free to take the Javascript from my index here http://www.urbx.com/

This is why a browser like Firefox is more secure.

As a Mac user I've always been amazed that Windows IE is so open that code on a web page can add bookmarks and other much nastier things.

Thanks urb. I changed to use my bookmark image and it works sweetly.

And yes, Cleo, you are so right about IE. That's why I now use Firefox now. I was getting tired of using all of my anti-spyware and hijacking programs more often than my browser.

I don't think Microsoft gave much though to what the consequences would be when they made IE the file browser when Win98 came out.
