Submission script

I just wrote some code into my submission script on my LL that will check for the referring page and if its not the correct referring page will redirect to my rules page. It seems to work pretty well on my local host I haven't uploaded it yet. Ideally I want to make sure that people read my rules, get my recip, and then submit. I know that most LL I submit to change the location of the submit form to keep submitters on track. Has anyone done it this way? Did it work well for you?
Thanks,
Ghost

Considering that refering URL is one of the easiest things to spoof, using that as your only defense against bots is a losing battle. Without much experience, you can manipulate this stuff directly in PHP.

There are many methods available for frustrating bots. Some are more successful than others. You won't read about the ones that work, because few of us are willing to discuss them.

Good luck!

Not to mention if any submitter who uses Norton products even though they clicked from the right URL it removes the referer so it would take them to the rules page. I think your best bet is to get some sort of image verification going instead.
