Hot Linking Images/Banners

Hokay, have just had a site accepted by many of the kind LL pornmiesters here GG, Murray, Hoes, and a few others still coming and I am doing up the next one.

On the first site I simply used text links to my sponsor EMX who said it was ok to hotlink (thanks Toolz) the screen captures of the downloadable vids for promotion purposes.

Now the question is if I hotlink a few of the captures on a free site to make quasi pic and text banners (not as content) will this be acceptable or grounds to get myself black listed?

I personaly would not hotlink anything from a sponsor...

If they are down your site will be missing images

If they change the rules - you have to go back and change everything

Some LL's might decline you for not having a "wholly contained site"

I have a tendency to hotlink banners from other domains that I own, but I haven't used a sponsor's in a long time. Bandwidth's cheap

What Greenguy said. I only hotlink a sponsor's banner if the sponsor insists on serving it.

Thanks for the replies all, I had initially donwloaded the captures in expectation that it would be cool to use them for advertising but Toolz suggested with the changes to 2257 it would be better to hotlink when I emailed him asking if it was ok to serve them myself.

Daves got some good points so I might just go the safe route and stick with text adds.
