RE: "It is nice when you can say the images are samples of the site you are promoting." - Yes assuming they are. If someone is told "these are samples from XXXX.com", then sign up to your site expecting to see the rest of the set, and don't, you are liable to get complaints and charge backs. A trick I use is to only give out about half of a photo shoot to affiliates, then put the entire photo shoot together in a special area inside the member's area and point to it clearly in the menu. This avoids getting angry emails or charge backs. However I don't give out a lot of free content. If you are going to give out as much as some sponsors this might be unworkable.
