At that rate, we're looking at 4.3 cents per activation before it expired. And Dewalt is built by Black and Decker. B&D's problem appears to really be their battery supplier, and I cannot imagine that Dewalt sources batteries from a separate company. My wife did throw away a B&D Can opener that wouldn't open cans a while back.
