Good Friday Morning

I'll be doing even less than usual today since I'm downloading a TON of content and I don't want my online activities to mess with the order of the bits and bytes and tiny whatevers. It's bad enough that my son is STEALING ALL OF MY FUCKING BANDWIDTH by playing an online game in the other room.

Do you have friends and/or family who say things to you like, "I don't know how anyone can sit behind a computer screen all day," as if that's what you are doing, just sitting there, mindless, not attempting to eek out a living? As if you are playing solitaire all day. As if millions of people aren't sitting behind computers in corporate offices every day. My father says that to me all the time. Plus, even though he's a disgustingly crude, horribly perverse man, he's condescending to me when my online work is mentioned, as if I'm a pig for working with pornography, as if I don't know a great many of his real world sins and crimes.

Why did I wake up with that on my mind? Doesn't matter. I feel better now that I've shouted it at a bunch of strangers.
