I'm no expert, (certainly not in the same league as DD or Linkster) but I'm sure it will improve your chances... One other thing you might want to do when you have time is to take a look at css / style sheets, you can use them to clean up your code a lot, also to format your header tags - (I'm not sure but if you use <h1> tags around other font format tags it may negate your <h1> value).
