Total Newbie Questions

Artwilliams, I think I'll build a couple niche subdomains from the main site. I just need to figure out which niches and how I want this to look and feel. I heard that having several sites or blogs is the best way to go.

I have a friend who is helping me with the SEO, so I'll let him know what you said...

I guess time and patience are something to consider too, I am on sabbatical for the next two years giving me lots of time to work on this baby...
