Good morning world

Yesterday the person who was supposed to contact me the day before yesterday to fulfill an obligation did not contact me, again. So now I'm into the third day of what was a two-day disappointment about humans who don't act responsibly. And I'm not pleased about that.

Aside from that yesterday was mostly average.

But I will share a shower story from last month.

This one is about how my cat may have actually saved my life.

For some reason Shadow Cat likes to sit on the lid of the commode and wait for me to come out of the shower. Usually I leave the lid and the seat up, but I put them down before I get in the shower since I don't want to have to dry off a pissed off cat who jumped up on a seat that wasn't there. Not again anyway.

So on the day of the story, I finish showering and I pick up the shower mat to stick it on the tiled wall of the shower to drip dry. I don't notice that the shower curtain rod has slipped down several inches, lowering the curtain down onto the floor of the tub. I haven't rinsed off the curtain yet so it's a bit slick with cast off soap. I take a step back and my foot is on the slick curtain instead of the tub floor. It slips off and I try to catch my balance but my other foot hits the slick curtain too. I wind up tumbling backwards over the side of the tub with my feet up in the air and the back of my head slams into the edge of the commode.

The good news is that instead of striking hard, unyielding porcelain, my head hits the soft plastic lid over the soft plastic seat. Both of which are only down because my cat likes to jump up there when I'm in the shower. My head still got rocked pretty good, and I had a nice lump for about a week. But nothing like what could have happened if I'd hit hard porcelain the way I fell.

So, basically, my may have saved my life.

Hope my story brightens your day a little.

P.S. Yes, she got some rewards and was a
