I guess you should think of it in terms of what is the actual goal of SEs.
Its to find the content that the surfer is looking for. IPs and name servers are not of any any relevance for that. Like Bill says - It does have some importance - but it is tiny compared to the other factors such as keywords, backlinks etc.
