Credit Card Number Theft

Two days ago I recieved a call from my back notifying me that my credit card had been cancelled due to suspicious activity relating to the recent credit card number theft in the news.

I'll get a new one with a "clean" number in about a week.

I quizzed the nice lady on the phone and she told me that Visa and the FBI had been working very closely monitoring Credit Card activity for some time.

Isn't it nice to know the FBI monitor the activity of regular Aussie's credit cards. I was told that I was not really a special case as they have been monitoring the activity of millions of credit card users worldwide since early last year.

Talk about Big Brother keeping a close eye on everyone.

Well I hope they enjoy knowing how much I spend on my phone bill,internet access and web hosting .

Anyone else been caught up in this ?.
