What Graphics Software do you use and why?

I'm not a pro at it or anything, but I normally make my own banners since I there are alot of sponsor that I use anyway, do not update their selection very often.

and here is a game site I made for a friend, but warning, if you use anything other than IE, the search box is a bit out of wack. I didn't take the time to straighten it up because the friend put the thing on hold to go into the airforce. Anyway, I enjoyed playing with it at the time.
