The really bad part is that other, possibly 'well-meaning' people like Camchoice and reianicio, can get their sites banned when Google discovers and drops that 80-odd domains that this " sponsor has linked in that way.. and discover them they will..

Yep DD, I learned this one the hard way about 4 years ago. Got some bad advice from someone I trusted and didn't know any better at the time...live and learn.
It is one of the things I look for when doing site reviews...and only run across once in a while. So more than a bit surprised to see a sponsor using 'Dunce Cap' techniques
