How long before I can take off recips to LL's?

But, with most of the LL's not even bothering to send back an email telling you one way or another if you got in, when do you think I should go checking to see if my site got listed, and if it's not there assume it got rejected and lose the recip?

My philosophy has always been build and forget. I guess that's why I never got banned.
