More newbie questions
Hi all,
back after switching hosting and waiting for that to propagate followed by the worst bloody fever I had in ages leaving me knocked out for 5 days straight (yes, weep for me comrades) Anyways, still very much the newbie, here are a few questions I have been thinking about: 1. Was about to register another domain or two. Somewhere I read that addresses with dashes are better than without because search engines will see the words as separate (i.e. my-cool-sexy-domain.com would be better than mycoolsexydomain.com ), but then I read somewhere else that dashes are not recommended, without any reason stated. So which one is it? 2. I was thinking about buing some traffic for www.cumslutworld.com. Right now it gets about 3-400 visitors a day which kind of sucks. Can you recommend a good traffic provider for MGP/TGP traffic? 3. Again, about the same site (www.cumslutworld.com), it gets about zero search engine traffic (maybe 4-5 google hits a day and even less from msn), and I don't see what's wrong. Then again, I know nothing about SEO. Would be really grateful for some help! Maybe some of the stuff I've done are just stupid, though I thought they would help.. like having different alt tags for all pictures, having a 3-4 word description for all galleries, putting up an outrageously silly "story" on the site (to get some "content") etc. 4. This question is silly, but just have to ask. Everywhere I read: "Now, put up a lot of hardlinks to your site. Google likes that". Ok, I get the idea but just how do you manage to do that? Somehow I don't think buying 50 domains and having them all point to my site is going to do me much good, but how does it work then... ? People are not going to put hardlinks to my site just like that, are they...? Unless I already have a lot of traffic, getting me back to (2). Awww... |
