Question for content producers re: models

I usually pay models an hourly rate, based on the type of content produced. My question relates to the fact that a friend and I were playing around, non-work related, and later she became a model for our site. We took some pictures when we were playing, some pretty decent hi res ones, that I'd like to use on the site and she is willing. She is totally new to modelling and I'm fairly new to hiring models, and since this wasn't on an hourly pro basis, I'm not sure what to charge. I took the photos and I have given her them to use as she wants on her own site, which she has. Should I pay on a per photo basis? I have no idea what is a fair rate. I have heard prices quoted for buying individual photos or photosets of exclusive content, but this isn't really the same thing. I tried to compare it to the time it takes to shoot a video, but again, it isn't really the same since these were kind of candid captures of what we were doing. The best I can figure is to pretend like each pic is 2-5 minutes of video time, and estimate it that way. Does that sound reasonable?
