IMHO I do not believe small poor quality thumbs keeps the surfer hungry. You need to entice them and tease them a bit which IMO has nothing to do with thumbnail sizes. I usually use different size thumbs depending on how I feel at that moment. 120x120, 130x150, 125x125, are a few common sizes I use.

On the revshare hosting, most LL owners will have a problem with it because you don't really control the hosting. If they wanted to, they could kill the revshare hosting and then all your sites are gone. I believe this may be the main reason.
