Project ideas?

As I am still a newbie watching from the trenches, I would like to slowly be involved in this industry. As primarily a coder and software quality assurance guy, I'd like to do some code jobs for free (as long as they aren't large projects!).

Or, if you can suggest a tool that might be useful to the community that I could code to escape from boredom, I'm all ears.

On the same topic, I thought about making a tool that ensures an affiliate of yours to give you credit even if the user doesn't directly click the link or tries to manually remove the affiliate id. For instance, say you're advertising a sponsor "SuperDuperBoobies" and the user directly types the address in the URL. Or doesn't want to click on your link that is filled with affiliate parameters. I've seen this kind of tools sold for "mainsteam" affiliate programs and was wondering if this technique would be accepted by (most) adult sponsors.
