Trading hard links with other webmasters takes more than just a submitting. If you used trading script like LinkEX then don't worry about anything and you may pull their links off as they probably don't have time to manage their sites and/or reply for your request.
If you talked with webmasters before trading hard links contact them and just ask them what's taking so long.

I never talked to any webmasters just did their automated link exchange. I'm starting to e-mail some now to see what's going on.

What else is involved with hard link trades and how do you force hits to them? Auto-redirects or something like that?
