I've thought about buying some keyword specific domains. There's actually still quite a few good names available if you micro niche.

Right now google does seem to give new domains good rankings based on the keywords in the name.

One of my domains gets about 20-30 hits daily on a specific keyword, and is converting at around 1:200.
