Sites Down Protocol

I would like some input from the Link List and TGP owners regarding what we as site owners can do to alert you to our server screwyness. Would it be best to post one message here or in the Possible Cheaters forum, or post two announcements: one in the Link List Topic Area and another in the TGP Topic Area.

The reason I ask is that I had an abusive spider/domain that was sucking up a ton of bandwidth. Today I was playing around with Mod_Rewrite to automatically forward their ip block to another site. Of course for about two hours while I tinkered around with it, my sites were sporadically forwarding all traffic not just the abusive spider's ip. It's all fixed now and working properly but I would be very concerned if Linklist and TGP owners felt that I was doing something inappropriate.
