Sheeeit. I have found my email & one of my domains on that list for apparently redirecting :confused: Strange thing is I wouldnt even know how to redirect a gallery. I dont even use a script on my TGP due to a fear of any techy complicated things

Redirecting could have been because you deleted the file on your server or maybe you moved servers or something like that.

Well I filled out the appeals thing and said it may have been when I moved from a previous host to my new one which is rock solid. Also I never take galleries down, I still have ones from about 18 months ago that still pull the odd hit & the very odd sign-up or two.

Yeah moving servers can do it. Sometimes you just don't get everything in the right place or forget to re-upload something.

It is important to backup your server regularly. If you have telnet access you can make one big tarball of everything and then download it to your desktop machine. This also makes moving servers much easier since you only have to upload one file.

If your site is contained in a directory called web you can telnet in one level above it and type this,
tar -cf - web | gzip > web.tar.gz

This will make one compressed archive called web.tar.gz that you then download to your local machine. I do this a few times a month for each of my servers. My host has been rock solid, but shit happens so I sleep better doing this.

well, i checked my email adress and all my domains and none of them appear as blacklisted there but i'm balcklisted at greenthumbs.
i have read the rules almost 10 times and i still don't know why i got blacklisted.

could you please tell me what i did wrong?
i don't want to get blacklisted in anymore places for the same thing.

I just checked and it appears that didnt get transferred over for some reason when I changed host :confused:

It was also a legacy of when I tried AVS for a short period of time & didnt do so well with it when compared to TGP's. Then I was ripped off as one of the mugs with the Shae episode for a small amount and it compounded my bad time. I shall go back to it in the future and crack it though

That would be Greenthumbs's own private balcklist, only the webmaster of Greenthumbs would know why. I know who owns it, but I can't recall the name right now, maybe after morning coffee I will think of the name.

With TGP's it is often their script that has added you in and the webmaster owner doesn't even know about it.

I know with my own little TGP I have the script set to pull galleries that it finds a problem with, but I never have it also set to blacklist domains, but it does have that option.

I've found myself banned at many TPGs for no reason at all. I certainly know that I never cheat and do try to follow all the rules. Just another reason to be sure that you have other sources of traffic,, like link list.

It does seem like the domain that I use for TGPing gets burnt out after I use it for awhile so I'll usually get a new one every now and then. :confused:
