If a bank skimming scheme went bad and a friend asked if he could divert the funds into your account, would you let him? Especially knowing that you'd be found out?

You are admitting that you are, at the very least, a friend of someone who has stolen traffic from quite few people. You are now receiving that stolen traffic. I think quite a few people will have just reason to call you a thief as well.
