What you state is vitally important, but ignored by all and sundry..  The addition of mutiple 'category recips' to the index page of a site totally messes with the keyword balance/density, the prime keywords used, and with the K size of the page.... All of these things can "mess" with whatever SE work you may have done for the page. DD
