There are no winners here. Bad publicity for Plateman and bad publicity for SIC.
Even if Plateman did nothing wrong there are shades of doubt now about something fishy.
SIC should have paid the man his $55 and move on. Even if they lose 2 or 3 webmasters due to this thread it is a bad business decision.

bad publicity good publicity... is there such a thing? the only webmaster we would loose would be any who are working the system... we've paid out $10s of millions of dollars weekly over the years.. .and we still send checks like clockwork every week... we closed more accounts today during our fraud review... its kinda like catching internet shoplifters
