Free time is just an illusion... it is time you should have been working but didn't.

Most of my free time is spent with my girlfriend or playing badminton these days, with some time for TV. Most of the the time the big screen or the radio is on in here while I am working, so think of it as multitasking.

Free time is a trick.

Free/AFK time is important - having hobbies/things to do out of the house are essential.

Taking a long 3-day weekend away from home (for those who work out of the house) can do AMAZING things for you - psychologically, spiritually, emotionally and in BUSINESS believe it or not. We all need a little reboot every now and again.

And... just in case you were wondering... webmaster conferences do NOT count!

|shocking|

Find something you enjoy doing - whether its reading, playing an instrument, going to concerts, hanging out with friends/family, playing a sport or whatever and DO IT. Make time each day to switch gears and give the other parts of your brain a chance to exercize.
