That is just so, so sad
And it does seem to be a symptom of living in a state of unreasonable fear..

You know, my doorbell is so LOUD when it rings that I once dropped a cup of coffee because it startled me so bad.. (I was right near the bell) I could go to the hospital then sue next time... How dare someone apply pressure to the button that controls my mental health just because it's lit up next to my outside door.
