Cleo I think some of it is longer term webmasters feeling the pinch too.

Lots of multi-submitters...

false names and emails to get round the 1-2 per day rules.. get's them blacklisted here.

Alex, blocking IP's is the only way I have got things under control.. I had one guy complain after I blocked his IP... It was blocked after 80+ submissions were made.. of which ZERO were listed... and he complained he couldn't submit anymore....

WOTD/Type-in variables definitely help.. but it's the 'human' filter that catches most...

I ban by DNS/Host now too...
