I've got to say the jolly old UK has gone down the pan since I left a few years ago. I'd never heard of dogging until I read this thread so it's obviously a fairly recent innovation

Ya know its kinda funny - I used to travel a lot and whenever Id pull my RV into rest areas in the US (especially the ones that dont have the rest rooms that are just parking areas) it was amazing to see the amount of gay men that would come out of the woods

I think that's gone on in most countries for years. In England where the "rest rooms" were more primitive, gay men would loiter looking for casual sex. It even had it own name - cottaging. It was the demolition of these cottages that moved gay cruising further into the open and drew in the voyeurs and women, and this was the birth of dogging.
