Playa means "beach" but the place they call "Playa" is Playa del Carmen, about 40 minutes from Cancun.

But yes, I live on the "Playa" (or as we call it when we're getting smashed, "Playa de los Playas", LOL ) and all beaches are pretty much topless here if people want to take off their tops, including Playa, Cancun, Cosumel and my favorite place to eat lunch Island, Isla Mujeres.

yup, as soon as I repeated Playa del Carmen to the wife she said "that's the place". I've heard Isla Mujeres is nice (wifes been a coupel times).
