why is it no matter how good this weeks show was, next weeks show always looks better?

I have never been so addicted to a show that is nothing but hype for the next weeks show.

I'm tempted to stop watching the previews (the semi-official fan site actually classifies them as spoilers - um, don't ask why I know that...); I spent this whole past episode waiting for Locke to get shot (or not). Had a hard time actually focusing on the meat of the story 'cause Locke is pretty much my favorite character. Bah.

By the way, Shannon needs to shut up and go die.

I never watch the previews... what other show is on ABC that is worth watching where you would see a preview? ( I turn it off right after the last scene cuts away so I don't have anything to look forward to next new episode
