What is needed to create paysite

I would say the most important thing you need is cash and lots of it. Everything else you can buy: traffic, content, design.

BUT...it helps a lot if you can do one or more of the three things above yourself, especially if you can provide all or most of the traffic to your paysite from your own sites. Design and content are cheap by comparison.

On a separate note, I'd say you need to offer something unique to the surfer if you want to be successful. And it needs to be unique to webmasters too if you expect to sign up affiliates. We started our company with an Asian facial movie site because there wasn't any competition in that niche and it was a niche that we knew there would be a large audience for.
