Congrats to the Czechs. They obviously were the better team today.

It would have been interesting to see how this game would have turned out if Canada had sent its BEST players though.

And Lord, we are especially thankful for nuclear power, the cleanest, safest
energy source there is. Except for solar, which is just a pipe dream

Ha ha very funny...but if you look back to the previous two world championships, you would see Canadian Gold because those teams had ALL the Best that Canada had to offer.

Anyhow, enjoy it while it lasts.

Well, I would say that the best international matches are when NHL is interupted, like in Nagano or today, when every country can send its best... But anyways, it would not be such a great victory without such a good opponent like Canada, congratulations to the 2nd place.

That's my arguement right there. Canada didn't send their best. Their best are at home sulking that they didn't get paid millions of dollars. I guess it just goes to show where this team's priorities are right now.

anyhow, congrats to the "A" team from Czech Republic. They managed to beat a "C" team from Canada.

I am sorry, that we did not send "C" class players to give Canada a chance, but we do not have any...

LOL! Now that's funny.

Although I do admire the work ethic and determination of the Czech players and congratulate them on their winning this tournament, they still have a LONG way to go to be compared to Canada's greatness for hockey in general. You didn't see Iginla, Sakic, Foote, Blake, and host of other great players because they are too busy counting their millions.

While we're on the topic, didn't the Czech's lose to Greece (the Euro Champs, by the way) in soccer?

Well, Sweden did not play very well last nite.
But I think we did a good tournament over all and our new coach did a great job. Something for the future.

Back to lick my wounds.....

Thomas...I honestly thought you were a sportsman. but I guess you are just anti-Canadian. I was born in the US but have lived here in Canada for 33 years now and to hear such a malicious attitude towards Canadian people at all is tragic.

There were also a bunch of no shows on this Swedish team as well.

In fact, the only team that was represented by its BEST players, were in fact the Czechs. And for that reason, they deserve to be considered WORLD CHAMPIONS for 2005. Not just on the ice at this tournament, but also in heart and patriotism as well.

Way to Go Czechs!
