Gotta agree with Basschick and Andrej on prices, we have tried most combinations and found out that cheap simply isnt worth it

Its simply a numbers game, get the most out of them while you can.... (This is ofcourse from the siteowners view )We have used "odd" prices for a while and that seems to be working good, like 38.61 is the recurring charge, anyone else got any experience doing that? The membership doesnt immeadelity show up as a membership on the creditcard statement then I think. |

i'm not a "guru" & i haven't run a paysite in a couple years but this was always key for me. that personal touch keeps'em comin' & they feel sort of bad about not supporting "you" (your host/hostess) when they go to click that cancel link. that personal touch is what cats will pay for FOREVER imho Quote:

this is a technique i've thought about & i'm going to try for my upcoming sites. but i do feel pricing makes a big difference in keeping a member. when anything over 30 bucks shows up on someone's cc bill, wives notice, they personally notice... it starts becoming a "dent" in your budget @ that point. "big" sites have $30+ sites because they have other expenses to support. if your affiliate program isn't "huge" or u just don't have one, try an odd price between 25 & 29 bucks. i think you'll see a difference in retention .. |

I personally think that if the members section is made for surfers(easy to navigate, good help page), they dont email you very often. |

well, they put their sites up for money... not necessarily for the joy of running the site AS WELL AS the money. that's the big difference with adult sites today & those that were running before the turn of the milinneum (sp) ... |
