I think Florida Power and Light said -- we'll let Cleo know how much she misses us. Lets choose a really hot day and shut off her power. She won't consider alternatives when she sees how much she misses us.
Ok, on with the rolling blackouts. ![]()

Actually they cut down the royal palms that were in the backyard of the house two houses east of me that would always catch fire in bad storms when they would touch the power lines. I asked about trimming the branches in my backyard but they said they would have to wait for another time. I know that the two guys that live in the house have been trying to get FPL out here for many years and even tried to hire someone privately but with them right in the power lines no one would touch them.
They have been really trimming trees like crazy in my neighborhood. The big V that they cut out of the middle of trees really makes for some ugly trimming but I'm all for anything that helps keep the power on in a storm. Almost seems cheaper to just move everything underground like it is in the new neighborhoods. |

I'm drinking Red Bull, does that count?
Our local paper made me feel much better about spending all this money getting ready for this year's storm season. Experts say South Florida, Orlando storm risks up. They even posted a nice drawing showing how fucked we are. |
