I'm not a big tekkie by any stretch.
I have XP on my system running on a P-IV processor with quickheal as my antivirus package and adaware se system checks in the morning and evening. Haven't had a problem in months. ![]()

I have Win XP....2 years, no crashes, and I leave my comp up 24/7...I only reboot it once every two weeks or if I install software and it needs to reboot.

![]() I run XP Pro 2.8ghz P4 1gig of Kingston Extreme RAM. Built this machine with my own two grubby paws just over 2 years ago. Have had one bsod in that time. A few days ago...had about 15 applications opened at the time...was unzipping some content files...and boink...bsod. Rebooted and it's been fine since. Sure sounds hardware related from what you describe. Overall, XP Pro is very stable...usually... |
