How Many DVD's do you have?

I figured I would write this because I got back from the store not too long ago, with 2 new DVD's and realized that I have a problem, a big problem, my DVD collection is out of control, and if I remember correctly, Dr. b you have a ton of them dont you?

I know I have over 300 easy Ill get a complete count tommorow.

Do I need help or am I average?

Hmmm, I only got around to finally buying a DVD player about six months ago. I've yet to buy even one DVD, but I do rent them a lot. Anyway it gets me out of the house renting them.

I have enough junk already, VHS tapes, LPs, casettes, CDs, there are probably 8 tracks in my garage someplace, lol.

I don't use CDs anymore as I've digitized my whole CD collection into iTunes.

I'm a DVD junky...I normally only watch a movie once. However, I have two grown daughters and they were always asking about was this good or was that good. So when I started watching adult content DVD's on my puter I bought a home unit, around 98-99, for the latest non-adult releases. Like GG said about his wife, I buy them instead of renting. So now my daughters can watch them and stop buggin me about what they are like I know I have over 500 easy. |ohhhhh|

I have not counted for a while and I slowed down the last few months.

I would say I am up around 150-175 or so.

I did just go get LOTR 2 Towers yesterday. (And ended up buying that laptop in the process.)

I love DVD's. And now I find myself letting my daughter nap on my chest while I "take a movie break" during the day.
Life is good.

WOW Surfn, over 500 huh? If thats the count you would have more DVD's than anyone else I know. I know even after I count mine it certainly wont hit the 500 mark. (I might have to change that).

Greenguy, so when your wife buys them does she at least watch them? I have more Dvd's still in the package that i havent watched than I have open, honestly have about 75% of my collection I have never watched, might even be more like 85%, I have also never rented one.

Dr. B you have been slacking.... Hell I went to buy Extreme Eric a DVD for his Birthday and ended up buying:
http://www.extremepaychecks.com/extremecar/

His son of a bitching present ended up costing me around $75,000. Prick.

Yes, I have been slacking (Just bought a new house). But I go to the store and look around but I have all the ones I wanted. I usually buy a few extras to have around when I am board. But I have watched everything in my collection. Some up to 4 or 5 times.

Damn, I'll let you know when my B-day comes around so you can get me something...

That "Ouch" folder had to hurt.....ouch is right.

I buy all kinds of stuff. In addition to new releases I buy old movies and tv programs. S few examples other than new releases are 2 DVD of "The Red Skelton Show" and 2 DVD set of East Side Kids (Later known as the Bowery Boys) 4 DVD set old tv westerns etc. Plus the Classic old movies such as Casablanca, Wizard of Oz, etc. What can I say, I like to have something to satisfy my mood when I take a break.

I have 2 of my vehicles equipped with DVD players as well. My grand daughter and I like watching Shrek, Monster Inc, Harry Potter, etc together. For example she likes me to translate Harry Potter into her vernacular. She gets more fun from the movie, as do I

Dr. B congrats on the new home, I dont blame you, screw the DVD's, they can come later. Do you know what caused that ouch folder that cost me $3,500 in cash and another $800 in rental cars?

Surfn, Im with you, even my sports car (above link) has a DVD Player in it, my truck has 3 DVD players, 1 liquid Plasma Screen Custom in the dash, and a drop down 10" in the rear, 3 different zones to watch and listen to whatever the hell you want. Here's the work being done on the truck the night I got it

www.extremepaychecks.com/extremetruck/

I dont have any pics of it being done yet.

You sure as hell do buy everything.

I have only 100. We don't have so many to choose as you Americans, as all DVDs must have subtitles. Usually there is some 10-20 languages in every DVD.

Some 3 years ago when we bought first DVD player, there was lots of "new" DVDs, as lots of famous movies came to shops at the same time. I bought movies like "Blues Brothers", "Blues Brothers 2000", "Terminator 1 + 2", "Blade Runner" etc. I also like old movies like "Casablanca".

We have one table DVD player (used to have two, but gave older one to my wife's parents), two DVDs in computers and one burning DVD player.

One thing I have really waited are old Marx Brothers movies, but no luck yet. I have them all in VHS tapes, copied from TV 1984, and those tapes have been watched so many times they are almost done.

Sounds like it I really really dislike Barney...fortunately my g/d doesn't care for him either. Her favorite character is Sponge Bob Square Pants, which is cool with me. She really likes the T-shirts and other apparel I buy at Big Dogs because one of the T-shirts is "Square Dog no Pants" and it is all yellow and looks like a sponge..lol

I own a movie Called "Cock-n-ball's: Miami 2003", I could burn that to DVD....does that count?

I can't wait to see "Cock-n-Ball's 2: The Balls hit Las Vegas"!

Perhaps I'll wait and make it a 2 DVD set.
