I've always felt that should be called Sponsor Hosted Sites and Sponsor Hosted Galleries just to avoid the bad free hosting stigma.
I like pics from a review standpoint. It's faster. But it also gives the builder many more opportunities for blind links. Frankly, there's no winning when you really think about it.
